27" Daewoo stereo tv model:DTQ-29S1,chassis:CN-200I,year:Dec 1997.The
tv had pincussion picture for a few hours followed by a collapse of
the picture into a horizontal line thereafter the tv made a pop and
died (rested in peace).
I found these parts to be defective:

C404=1 Uf,160v (horizontal driver transformer cap)
Q402=2SD1880=NTE2353
Q804=E13009-2
E130090-2
KSE13009Y
Daewoo # TKSE130090
Daewoo # TKSE13009-H2
Daewoo # TKSC5021FA
KSC5021F-R
F801A=5 amp fuse

From reading common repair tips by doing a search at:

http://groups.google.com/groups?group=sci.electronics.repair

I discovered that these parts also fail:

C412=10 Uf,250v
C304=100 Uf,35v (pump up for vertical IC)

I tried to cross reference Q804=E13009-2 or KSC5021 using the
paperback versions of ECG,NTE and SK Thomson and came up with nothing
so I ordered and received NTE2325 which is a NPN switching transistor
and placed it in tv but the tv has no power as SMPS of this tv is not
functioning there is no 5v or 12v standbys coming of it the SMPS so I
assume that the original Q804 is a PNP,what do you techs think?.Also
if NTE2325 is correct what else could be the culprit?
I downloaded the free schematic from:

http://www.schematicsforfree.com/video/video.html

but I could not read the schematic well to determine if Q804 is a NPN
or a PNP.

Thanks in advance.

Q804 is a NPN. Your on the right track. Normally the 1uf cap starts off your
problems, followed by shorting of the 2SD1880, then Q804. You'll also find that
Q803 and Q805 are shorted. Q804 KSE13009 is terminally back ordered and
expected in sometime around 2005 give or take a year. :)
Good luck.

Missed six more or sniff them out with favorite ESR meter.

One in hot side SMPS, one in cold side, three 100uF caps two of them
hard by the vertical IC heatsink, one between banks of hot resistors,
two 1uF 160V in horizontal driver area.

What killed whole thing was this bastard 1uF 160V pair that dried up
and took out HOT then rest of destruction snowballs.

Call Daewoo and they will tell you what transistors are and suggest
subs.

Fixed many CN-200i chassies with intermittent shutdowns (caps only),
two blow ups because of lazy customers. Oh, my coworker when he was
working for Daewoo, he developed and wrote a bulletin on repeat
horizontal size failure for that CN-200i.

Two factors for this multiple caps replacments: chassis is TINY means
packed like hot sardines, Daewoo is cheap and used 85C caps not 105C.
Oh, these sets has RCA CRT. Weird.

Cheers,

Wizard
