Hi,

Newbie here; I have a UK book with a schematic calling for a number of 100
nf caps, What's an nF? in SI nano is betwen Micro and Pico, is it just a
case of adding 0's?

So 100nF is 0.1uF or 100,000pF

And from the original poster's comment about "a bunch" I'd guess that
these are probably .1 uF monolithic ceramic caps, being used to bypass
the power supply traces/wires to ground near ICs and other active
components.

Very common part (and application), easily available.
